Cambrian Robotics builds an AI training platform that lets customers provision and run their own workloads through a self-service web portal. What they needed
As Cambrian developed its AI training platform, it needed infrastructure capable of supporting demanding GPU workloads while remaining commercially viable for a growing business. Public cloud GPU services offered the performance required, but the economics did not support Cambrian's long-term ambitions.
The business needed a UK-based partner that could provide high-performance bare metal GPU infrastructure, capacity to scale alongside customer demand, and commercial flexibility during the early stages of growth. Finding a provider prepared to support that journey was just as important as the technology itself.
How we built it
RapidSwitch worked closely with Cambrian from the outset, providing a Proof of Concept environment that let the team test, refine, and validate its AI training platform before making a larger infrastructure investment. That early flexibility significantly reduced the barriers to entry.
Rather than committing to expensive cloud GPU resources, Cambrian was able to develop its platform on dedicated GPU infrastructure that delivered the performance it needed at a commercially sustainable cost. As customer demand increased, RapidSwitch continued to support Cambrian's growth by responding quickly to requests for additional capacity and providing infrastructure capable of scaling alongside the business.

Where they are today
With RapidSwitch providing the infrastructure foundation, Cambrian has been able to focus on building its AI platform rather than managing the underlying environment. Customers now provision and run their own AI training workloads through the Cambrian web portal, creating a highly automated experience that requires minimal operational intervention.
Cambrian's next phase includes expanding GPU capacity across Europe and establishing infrastructure in the United States to support international customers, alongside ongoing architectural reviews and resilience planning to keep the platform ready for increasingly demanding AI workloads.
