RapidSwitch today launched a state of the art private data centre in Berkshire, to serve its growing roster of managed hosting, dedicated server, co-location and IP customers.
We have recently launched a new range of Intel Xeon Quad Core servers, giving our clients the choice to have an extremely high-performance single CPU server solution. These are available for purchase online now, and start at just £119 per month. The quad core systems have lower power consumption than a traditional quad CPU solution, and offer licensing benefits for Microsoft and other software applications.
Today, RapidSwitch announced the installation of a new gigabit link to Global Crossing, one of the largest IP carriers in the world. This new connection is active immediately, and will give us additional IP transit capacity and performance.
This week we continued our network speed enhancements and upgraded our LINX connectivity to a 10 Gigabit ethernet port. We have over 50 Gigabits of external connectivity, and our clients are benefitting from using the best connected hosting service provider in the UK.
