RapidSwitch are pleased to announce that as of 19th November 2007, many services are now available with same-day setup for no extra fee. Due to advances in our procedures and staffing levels, we aim to set up 95% of services within 24 hours of order; including server provisioning at the weekend. This refers to colocation services and our standard dedicated servers. Normal setup times still apply to our high availability servers and firewalls. You don't need to do anything to take advantage of this - our new systems are in place and operating currently.
RapidSwitch are delighted to announce that on 9th October 2007 we put live our 3,000th server. We would like to thank all of our clients, both existing and new, for their vote of confidence in our services. On the 15th May 2006 we installed our 1,000th server, which means that RapidSwitch's clients have ordered an average of 120 new servers every month since.
We have recently upgraded our network by changing our connection to Teleglobe from gigabit to 10 gigabit. This brings our total connectivity to 68 GBits, and we continue to offer the best network in the UK of any hosting provider.
On 13th July, RapidSwitch acquired Black Cat Networks Ltd (BCN), a well-known supplier of colocation and hosting services. BCN will be integrated into the RapidSwitch business over the next six months.
