New Private Data Centre
RapidSwitch today launched a state of the art private data centre in Berkshire, to serve its growing roster of managed hosting, dedicated server, co-location and IP customers.
The facility has been built to the highest specification with the highest-class levels of reliability and redundancy, including HVAC temperature control, an online uninterruptible power system, and backup diesel generator in case of utility power failure. Security includes 24/7 cover by on-site RapidSwitch staff, multiple internal and external video camera surveillance, controlled security card access and a gated secure compound.
The data centre is directly connected to RapidSwitch core points of presence in TelecityRedbus Sovereign House, and Telehouse North, via physically diverse 10 gigabit fibre routes. The data centre connects seamlessly with the rest of the RapidSwitch network, regarded as one of the best in the UK.
