As we reported in November 2007, our clients enjoy the UK's fastest network. Our policy of continual improvement has brought our total connectivity to over 90 gigabits per second, and we're delighted to say that we have recently added a 10 gigabit connection to the transit provider Interoute, that has an extensive European network. We will continue to add to our connectivity and improve our network, setting the standard for the market to follow.
We are pleased to announce the availability of a new service for all of our clients. This recovery and reinstall service enables advanced console-level access to your server, for the purpose of fixing critical faults or reinstalling the operating system. The recovery service boots your server up into a Knoppix Linux distribution over the network, which gives you a host of tools to enable you to recover a failed server. This allows you to access the file system, even if it is a Windows Server 2003/2008 system, and to repair the operating system. Please note a good level of technical knowledge is required.For reinstalls, the service has network bootable installers for the Debian, CentOS and Fedora Linux distributions. This self-service reinstall allows you to use the network bootable installers to reinstall your server. Due to licensing constraints we are unable to offer self-service reinstallation for Windows operating systems.This Recovery and Reinstall service is free for all clients to use once per server per month. Additional sessions are available at £20+VAT, and extended sessions are also available at an extra cost.

The operating system is now available for order on our website, and existing clients can upgrade to it too. Windows Server 2008 represents the most significant release of a Microsoft operating system in the last five years, and we’re happy to be one of the first to offer it.
